IFE at the show
IFE Chair of the Board, Paul Stollard, is set to chair a panel on The Cladding Climate - Actions from Grenfell's final report on Monday 2nd December. The panel includes Erin Shoesmith, who acted on behalf of a corporate core participant, Steve McGuirk who provided fire safety expertise for the Grenfell Inquiry and Gill Kernick, author of ‘Catastrophe and Systemic Change’, who from 2011 to 2014 lived on the 21st floor of Grenfell. All will share their thoughts on the outcomes, next steps and what it means for residents, the fire safety, construction and built environment industries.
IFE Technical Director, Paul Trew, will be sharing his insights on a panel with CROSS UK, on building design and the great EV plug-in. This session is set to take place 10:30 - 11:15am on Tuesday 3rd December. in addition to this IFE CEO, Steve Hamm, will be hosting a workshop on the future of Fire Risk Assessment at 12:30 - 13:00pm Tuesday 3rd December. This session will go over the main requirements of a fire risk assessment but also look to the future for competency, the inclusion of sustainable approaches, lithium-ion batteries, and changing materials.
