For the first time in its history, IFE will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in a hybrid format this July.
This marks a significant step forward for the institution, reflecting our ongoing commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and modern ways of working. By enabling members to attend either in-person or online, we are ensuring broader participation than ever before - regardless of location.
Steve Hamm, IFE Chief Executive, comments: “The AGM is a key moment in the IFE calendar. It’s a chance for members to hear important updates about our future and our achievements to date, and to vote on resolutions.
“This year’s hybrid format means members can take part wherever they are in the world — whether joining us in Stratford-upon-Avon, home to IFE Head Office, or logging into the meeting online. We’re pleased to be making this event as inclusive and accessible as possible.”
Taking place on 16th July 2025, members will have the option to attend in-person at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Stratford-Upon-Avon or join online via the AGM website.
The return of the Rasbash Lecture
We are also pleased to be hosting the Rasbash Lecture following the AGM which will be webcast live. This year's lecture will be delivered by Martin Shipp BSc (Physics) CPhys MInstP CEng FIFireE, a highly experienced fire safety specialist with deep expertise in fire investigation and building regulations. His lecture entitled 'Participating in history - fire investigation and research' promises to provide valuable insights to all members.
Those attending the AGM and Rasbash Lecture in-person are warmly invited to join Martin for an informal drink’s reception following the lecture.
A recording of the AGM and the Rasbash Lecture will be made available to members via their MyIFE account after the event.
