Jackie Lewis BSc (Hons)

Jacqueline is a barrister and company secretary with extensive experience in corporate governance, risk management and legal compliance across a wide range of sectors. She brings a wealth of experience to the IFE Board’s governance and oversight functions.

Beginning her career as a research chemist, Jacqueline graduated with a first-class honours degree in chemistry, before qualifying as a barrister. She practised at the Bar and later with the City law firm, Clifford Chance, specialising in health and safety law.

Since moving into in-house roles, Jacqueline has advised boards, committees, and senior leadership teams across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, including spending 15 years with the Canal & River Trust and subsequently working as the Legal and Commercial Director for OCS, a global facilities management company.

Jacqueline is currently General Counsel and Company Secretary at Nesta, a charity and innovation agency for social good, and its international consultancy subsidiary, Behavioural Insights Ltd. She also leads Nesta’s Property team and is the executive responsible for health and safety across the group.
