IFE Southern branch are hosting an in-person event titled 'Collaborative Fire Authority and Fire Engineering engagement day.'
The aim of the event is to create better working relationships between fire engineers and fire authorities by providing an insight into the importance of achieving compliance with the Building Regulations and the impact on firefighter fatigue.
The day will comprise of a morning of presentations, followed by an hour for lunch (provided) and then an afternoon with demonstrations which will be narrated and will be an example of what happens when Building Regulations are not complied with. It will show fire engineers and fire authorities may decline their consultations and also provides a better understanding of what fire authorities look for when reviewing an application, to hopefully create a more cohesive relationship to achieve safe, creative buildings.
