Complaints

Complaints

Complaints procedures are in place for two different situations:

  • Complaints about an IFE member, registrant or volunteer
  • Complaints related to IFE products, services and procedures

Please note that the IFE does not arbitrate in disputes between members and their clients or in situations where disputes relate to differences in technical opinion.

How to complain about an IFE member, registrant or volunteer

All members, registrants and volunteers agree to abide by the Institution's Articles and Code of Conduct, and we take all concerns seriously where standards bring the profession into disrepute and damage public trust and confidence.

Complaints about IFE members, registrants and volunteers are considered by the IFE Ethics Committee who will ensure an independent and equitable investigation and subsequently make a recommendation to the IFE Trustees on the appropriate action or sanction.

To make a complaint about an IFE member, registrant or volunteer please complete the form below.

Complaints about IFE members, registrants and volunteers must relate to a potential breach of the IFE Code of Conduct and supporting evidence of the complaint must be provided along with the prescribed form.

Complaints may experience delay if the prescribed form is not used or is not complete.

The IFE Disciplinary Procedure can be found here.

How to complain about IFE Products, Services and Procedures

We always try to deliver excellent customer service, if you feel we’ve fallen short of that, we’d like the opportunity to understand what went wrong and put it right.

The IFE strives to deliver excellent customer service whilst also ensuring that all of our products and services are quality assured and operated in line with best practice standards.

We welcome feedback from all of those who purchase, or who work with us in delivering, our products and services.  We are committed to ongoing improvement.

The majority of feedback received can usually be dealt with using informal channels of communication.  Where we are unable to address any issues via this method, we have a more formal complaints system in place.

Anyone wishing to make a formal complaint about IFE products, services or procedures can do so by following the process set out in the complaints procedure here.
