Membership fees

 

All application fees for membership are listed below. Applicants are required to pay an initial non-refundable application fee when submitting their application. This can be paid by credit/debit card as per the payment section during the online application process.

Once accepted into membership, fees are paid annually. Existing members with a UK bank account can opt to pay by Direct Debit. Choosing to pay by quarterly Direct Debit may result in your annual fee varying by a few pence each quarter compared to the annual prices listed due to rounding.

Please be aware, if you are applying to regrade your membership, a £54 fee will apply.

Engineering Council registration fees

Application fees for Engineering Council registration are listed below. Applicants are required to pay an initial non-refundable Application Fee when submitting their application. This can be paid by credit/debit card per the payment section attached to the application form.

Fire Risk Assessor fees

If you are not already an IFE member, your membership will be automatically awarded upon successful completion of your Fire Risk Assessor application. EngTech will be awarded Technician or Graduate membership depending on whether your application is individual or standard route. IEng and CEng will be awarded Member grade.

The annual fees are indicative of the full suite of membership fees payable (except for Fire Risk Assessor only section) which include the Fire Risk Assessor annual fee together with the Engineering Council annual fee, the Engineering Council registration fee and the IFE membership fee. If you are already an IFE member you will not pay your IFE membership fee twice in one year.
