You will take ownership of setting up the administrative and financial aspects of our projects with meticulous attention to detail. Representing DFC, with support, at multi-discipline design team meetings, fire specific workshops and client events, you will collaborate effectively with clients and other construction professionals to gain valuable project management experience.

Active participation in technical discussions and decision-making processes is a cornerstone of your role. You will be expected to engage in constructive, articulate dialogue both internally and externally, fostering an environment that encourages openness to new ideas and perspectives.

To facilitate your professional growth, you will receive comprehensive support in enhancing your commercial and technical knowledge. Recognising your areas for development, you will be guided in bridging knowledge gaps in alignment with the requirements for chartership and professional qualifications.

In the field of fire engineering, continuous learning is fundamental at every career stage. As an engineer, you will not only focus on your own development but also actively contribute to the growth of others within the DFC team. Through knowledge-sharing initiatives, you will support the development of graduate engineers and peers, fostering a culture of collaborative learning and improvement.

DFC promotes a flat organisational structure, emphasising the importance of versatility and adaptability across all grades, including engineers. You will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in engineering reports, calculations, and drawings, collaborating seamlessly with colleagues from diverse technical backgrounds, locations, and seniority levels within our team.
